SUBJECT: Information on Public Comment Regarding the Application for
Federal Funds Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
as Amended in 2004 and the Changes that Affect Those Procedures
In March 2005, the Department received from the U.S. Department of
Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), “Procedures for
Receiving a Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2005 Grant Award Under Part B of the
Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) as Amended in 2004 and
the Changes that Affect Those Procedures (Application).” The submission of
the Part B Application deadline was May 9, 2005. The Application was
submitted to the OSEP by the Interim Superintendent, Jeremy Hughes, on May
9, 2005.
The application will be available on the internet for public review from
May 16, 2005 through July 16, 2005. Public comment will be accepted by the
OSE/EIS from
May 16, 2005 through June 16, 2005 and may be submitted via: fax (517)
